Port Checking for WinMX and its Clients

A useful Online Tool was Added to our Portal Page to help people Check if they have Opened their Ports Correct for WinMX (Firewall and Router Settings), this Tool also works great for Testing ChatRoom Server Ports.
It Checks if the Port(s) you choose to be Tested (TCP Port for Secondary and UDP Port for Primary Connection) and will tell you if the(se) Port(s) are Open or Closed, but also if WinMX (or any other WinMX Client) is Responding on that given Port(s). This means that WinMX or the ChatRoom Server needs to be Running during Testing, otherwise the Tool will tell you WinMX or the Server/Client is not Running because it can Not Communicate with WinMX.
For now the Port Checker can be used by any Visitor (Registered Members and UnRegistered Guests) but we might change this in the near Future to Save our Limited Bandwidth for the people that take the time to become a Member and Sign up for their own Personal/Private Account (FREE, ...like All other Stuff on this Site!)
If there are Any Questions about this Topic feel free to Post Questions about this and I will Try to come up with a Sensible Answer.
Finally I would like to thank Piney for sharing his Knowledge about this with us!!
The PortChecker can be found in one of the Blocks at the Left Side of the Portal/Entrance Page!

MSN PassWords and the like

Lately more and more people on my MSN-Friends list seem to have given away their passwords unintentionally, which gives their account-control to some stranger/company!!
This is probably the oldest trick in the book of hacking someone's account but many people still seem to fall for this.
Here's an example of how they trick you to give them your password and even give them permission legally to access/use your account and send mail/spam in your name to all your friends:
You receive an email from one of your friends (from your friends-list, one that has already fallen for this trick) saying in example that this person has SEND YOU A SECRET MESSAGE/WON A PRIZE/RATED YOUR MSN SPACE OR PICTURES (or anything else, intended to make you curious), then you have to click a link in the email to view that message, you get send to a page where your email-account is already filled in and you only have to fill in your password... ...DON'T EVER DO THIS!!
Almost nobody will ever click the Conditions/Terms of Service and read them, if you would.. you would be able to read that you give them control over your account and that they are allowed to access your friends-list to periodically send them these same misleading emails under your name, like the one you recieved yourself from them under the name of a friend (who knows nothing about this).
So don't let yourself get lured to give away your passwords!!!
If you already fell for this trick you can easily lock them out again by CHANGING YOUR PASSWORD!!!
If you receive such a message from one of your friends inform them about it and please refer them to this explanation here on this site so they will quickly understand the "how's and why's!
I hope this message is a good warning for all people who are liable to fall for this trap, because that's just what it is ... a TRAP!
P.S.: This trick is often also used to sell you an SMS-Subscription, which is even worse than described above!!!
